  • Thanks but do i need to drop the transmission to access it or i can just access is from underneath? And also will i loose the fluid in the process. Thirdly can i just use the car for now with that code on till i have time to take it in for repairs?.

  • I'm not sure how bad it is, but there are no other symptoms, then you can keep using it.

    You don't have to remove the transmission, but you do have to drop the transmission pan, and drain all the transmission fluid.

  • I also have another code P0517. Battery Temperature Sensor. Don't you think this two dudes are related or maybe the battery code is triggering the P0713 code too, If it's a day job i don't mind taking it into Lexus Stealership and wait for it!
