  • Hi.
    I just purchased a 2021 ford transit custom 320s from a dealer.105000km on the clock.very clean and tidy van . The engine spotless , presents as new.
    The van empty of weight and driving it like grandma is giving me 10L/100km.
    Also the lane assist is intermittently working and very weak when it does . The settings are all at maximum .
    The dealers mechanics said it had the code U2100:00-2F.
    The indicators flashed fast in the cab but normal on the outside..
    They changed the trailer plug as it had no lid and was green with corrosion.
    Now the indicators work fine but the fuel economy after half a tank of freeway driving is still at 10L/100km..
    The lane assist is still intermittently working and when it does it is so weak 9 out of 10 times it's useless. I have 5 weeks new car warranty left then 5 years after market full warranty.
    Ford mechanic said if there may be a charge to check it..

        I have already had to take 2 days off work with the dealers mechanics trying to sort it out.
        They tell me that the car will drive differently with each driver but it will take 1000km to see which is nearly 2 tanks of fuel.
        Ford mech said the same thing.
        Every day off is costing me big time as I am a contractor.
        I will go back to them and show them what you have written.
        They are a nice bunch and seem very helpful.
        I was told that it was fully up to date with its services after the salesman looked through tue book....and then I saw 2 had been missed in the book.
        He said it was because the transit service intervals were so long that it was fine....hmmm.

          • Hi. Just an update on my 2021 Ford Transit 320s.
            Ford took 4 days and most of that time wasn't even spent on the car...grrr.
            They said every module is fully calibrated now and ll the systems have been latest updated.
            Accorfing to Ford Head Office, the problem is that transits don't come from factory with trailer modules.
            They are an provided with the optional tow pack.
            Apparently I have a Reece after market tow pack on mine .
            Ford say that many after market places provide non genuine modules and commonly this is the problem.
            The Ford master technician where I went to said that the module was not even receiving their signals and could possible need a new one.
            5 days later(including the weekend) Ford online who the dealerships deal with directly, sent through software updates and recalibration codes directly into my transit and they say its all fixed ,case closed.The head office also said that ALL transits with the module put in after emit the U2100 fault code but there is no fault.
            Hmmm.
            The original Ford codes all start with a P not a U and according to them my xar should be working fine..
            Ford ha e told me I have to go through a tank of fuel driving for it to recalibrate.
            That I don't get at all.
            So according to them it's now up to me to drive it and see if it's worked after a full tank of fuel..
