Discuss the causes and fixes for U1147 RAM OBDII Code

  • I don't take my vehicle to anyone to fix. There is nothing in it that I am unable to repair and this information isn't enough. I would like to know what needs to be reprogrammed in the TIPM so I can get this program or write it and then reprogram it. Seriously, the dealerships can't be trusted and I have personally experienced why several times. I can't trust any of the mechanics shops because if they do average or even marginally okay work, they will charge thousands and it's not worth that. Plus, this vehicle really isn't that complex that only a mechanic that has a job at a dirty garage can fix it. If they can do it, so can I. That's coming from a Navy veteran and college graduate that worked on military aircraft electronics. I promise, the aircraft are far more complex than this truck. If anything, the truck is more difficult because there is so much bogus information floating around the internet.
