Okay let me pick your brain here. I get the code P2534 when I first start my vehicle (2007 Chevrolet 2500HD 6.0l gas 4x4) at the beginning of the day. If I let it run five or so minutes (charge the system) and clear the code, the C.E. light goes away as it should (Also I just replaced the battery). I can drive around and turn the truck off for a period of time, get back in and fire it up and no light. The light only comes on after it has been sitting for an extended period of time. Now the question is, is the TCM loosing a charge or is it a replay loosing a charge possibly? Would love some feed back. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately I haven't had that problem yet, but I did found the folling inforation in the factory service manual:
The transmission control module (TCM) samples the system voltage on the Ignition 1 voltage circuit every 0.1 seconds. Lower than normal voltage may be inadequate to operate the transmission control solenoids properly.
The TCM detects 2 volts or less on the ignition 1 voltage circuit at the TCM for 10 seconds or more.
Do you have any other codes? did you had the problem before replacing the battery? how is the alternator charge?
It's possible that the battery is loosing some charge, which may be enough to set the code. Try checking the battery charge before starting the engine/

There are some tests that needs to be done to determine exactly what the problem is. I suggest having a transmission specialist inspect the transmission before you buy it. I checked a national database of repairs for the 2010 Express, and in some case when you have both code, the repair was the transmission assembly.

I myself have the P2534 ignition code as well as the P0700. First I only got the P2534 code I was driving home from work when this code popped up. I check the code when I got home and only had the one code. The next morning I got up to start checking things out and noticed the check engine light was off. So I checked it again and nothing. A few days later the check engine light was on again and the code popped up once again. So I went and got an OEM ignition switch and swapped it out thinking this was the issue. This did seem like it fixed the issue so I thought. Went down to O'Reilly's to grab some things and as I was pulling out the light came on and this time something different happened. So I asked to use their scanner and that stupid code was back and it had another. The code was a P0700.. So this was the something different because it threw the transmission into a limp mode and only allowed you to move in 4th gear. I cleared the code and the Tahoe drove fine back to the house so I parked it and did some more research and testing. So in my wisdom I went ahead and got another ignition switch hoping this was still the issue. I went and picked up the new ignition switch a few days later installed it and now the check engine light comes on the moment you turn the Tahoe on. Both codes come on quickly now. I did change the alternator after that and no check engine light. I drove the Tahoe again after and was able to drive it about 5 miles. Drove back to the house with no issues transmission shifter flawlessly. Few minutes later I got back into it backed out of my driveway. The moment I put it into park the check engine light came back on and I'm back with both codes. I have put in 3 new ignition switches new alternator and now a new battery. Pins for the ignition switch seems fine. I know the transmission itself has got less than 20,000 miles on it. I had that thing rebuilt about 4 or 5 years ago. The TCM I have not checked yet but I will once I get better weather a good day off.
My vehicle is a 2007 Chevy Tahoe LT with a 5.3l engine. The vehicle approximately has 153,000 miles.

On your vehicle the P2534 code means that the transmission is not getting battery voltage at the TCM terminal 31 (See diagram below). Start by checking the fuse, make sure the fuse connection is tight, replace the fuse if possible. If the fuse is OK, then you need to check the wire from the ignition switch to the TCM.
