2010 Golf 2.5L Automatic 107k miles P0106 & P2188 show up intermittently. Maybe I'll replace the MAP sensor.or maybe I'll just keep clearing the CEL because I doubt that the MAP sensor is the root cause. I already replaced the PCV valve with the Dorman 917-064 diaphragm and I cleaned out the intake manifold with a rag on a stick. CEL comes on less frequently now.

Why does the P2188 cause me grief? Is it a fly by wire signal mismatch problem? P0106's come in weekly but P2188's only come in once a month. I need to buy a graphing scan tool I guess. Blindly replacing parts only confuses everything, you think you got it fixed but you really don't. Really can't say the 2.5L runs bad even with CELon.

2010 golf 2.5L.The P0106 & P2188 codes ceased for a couple of days and the monitors cleared for long enough to have it smogged which it passed on 10/30 the next to last possible day. Now the same codes are causing the CEL to illuminate regularly. Watching the MAP signal trace I see no obvious problems .

I bought the zr11 scantool at HFT and it does give real-time data and graphs for the MAP in my 2010 golf 2.5L automatic. It does feel to run a little stronger when the P0106 code is not in. There probably are better $100 scantools out there but the zurich zr11 ain't bad, it works as advertised.

There is a factory service bulletin for the P0106 on your model year. The factory recommends inspecting the throttle body for carbon deposit and cleaning the carbon deposits if necessary. Carbon deposit can also set the P2188 code.

Any help on a p2188 on Audi A5, injectors changed spark plugs coil pack both o2 sensors and fuel filter in the tank all changed. The car is still misfiring I think the cat needs changing. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
