My 2014 Jeep compass sport has started to lag and takes forever to pick up speed going onto highway or up hills. I also noticed that the gear was mostly staying in 2nd gear and would go up to 3 and 4 like before. Sounds like the car is having hard time getting up to gear but once it does it's good... That didn't last long before several codes started popping up on my scanner. P2173, P0455,These 2 are the most recent but when everything started , these codes popped up first P0174,P2195,P2197,P0171. I replaced the filter and checked all my lines for leaks. Found small leak going from air intake to engine and sealed it up. Erased the codes and re-tested and nothing came up for a good week. That's when I started feeling the car shaking more heavy and now today i noticed white smoke coming from exhaust which has NEVER happened even in the cold. These are things i notice and i would have noticed it before. It's also shooting out a lil bit of water from exhaust. I noticed a itty bitty hole on bottom of exhaust pan and my bro said i can just seal it with exhaust tape due to it being so small.When i started my car today it started to idle while it was warming up and like 3 diff lights came on. The ? symbol, the engine light and the traction light i think and the car will begin to bug out and go limp, only way to stop it from trippin out was to turn it off and restart it. Happened a few times while warming up before if was drivable. It happened again when at the light and car goes limp. Again restart and it was ok. I have ideas of all the things it could be but where to start is the question. I don't wanna buy part after part marking them off list if it's possibly something mechanical and can be result for codes.
