I may have solved problem , I have soldered wires together now ,where as originally used the butt connection that comes with pigtail purchased .

The code description is good but incomplete. The PCM and the APP strategy is missing, partially. hopefully I can get close to an answer from someone that has access to service manuals. When one of the two sensors fail does the PCM set a different code and use the information of the good sensor to get the vehicle to a mechanic, or goes into limp mode?
I have an 05 Colorado with this code, P2122, I get a check engine light and a power reduction description, engine runs only at idle until I clear the PCMs memory, truck runs good until the problem happens again. I started my diagnosis by checking grounds under the hood and clean batt. terminals. Went for a road test so far so good. the problem sometimes doesn't come back for a few days. Looking at the wiring diagrams, thanks to Naskie18 com, the only thing that the two sensors have in common is that the +5 voltage fef. and low ref. come straight from the PCM. The wiring and connections appear to be good, I hate to think that it may be a bad PCM. I am going to need further confirmation before I condemn the PCM.
