  • Here is one for this P2015 code and P2006 on 2011 jeep patriot 2.4L engine. Quick history on this on going problem, Intake manifold seized up with this P2015 code and P2006 and engine having no power.. Removed and Replaced whole intake manifold and a new manifold actuator as a kit. Runner was hard to operate on old manifold turning by hand.. Two months later after using vehicle, P2015 and P2006 code pops up, engine still runs perfect. Intake shaft still rotates freely by hand. Which it should for being new... Replaced manifold actuator with another Dorman, light and code stayed on this time, and after erasing, comes back on. Again engine runs great. Shot all wires going to plug on IMRC actuator, all checks good, according to manual. In manual, it says to replace ECU computer if wiring checks good. I replaced computer and another dorman actuator, Intake still rotates freely, again it should it is new.. w After 1 year light comes back on with code P2015/P2006.

    • Since you’ve already replaced the intake manifold, actuator, and even the PCM, and the runner still moves freely by hand, I would stop replacing parts for now. P2015/P2006 means the PCM is not seeing the runner position it expects, and with the engine running well, this sounds more like a position feedback or actuator calibration issue than an actual seized manifold.

      The biggest thing that stands out is the repeated use of Dorman actuators. I’ve seen aftermarket IMRC actuators cause repeat range/performance codes even when they physically move the runner. The sensor inside the actuator may not report the exact voltage range the PCM expects. If possible, I would try an OEM Mopar actuator before going any further.

      Also check the actuator connector under load, not just continuity, and compare commanded runner position to actual position on a scan tool. If the commanded and actual values don’t agree, that will tell you whether the problem is the actuator feedback, wiring, or mechanical travel. Since the manifold is free and the engine runs normally, I would strongly suspect the actuator/position feedback before the PCM or manifold itself.
