  • I recently had my engine serviced due to a check engine light coming on. I was charged for Two Intake Manifold Runner Control Solenoids, that I gather were replaced in my car. The check engine light is out, but I did not expect to have to pay for Two Intake Manifold Runner Control Solenoids. Doesn't the diagnostic ( an extra 52.00) pinpoint which solenoid is faulty, and on which bank? Can both solenoids go bad at the same time? Shouldn't just the faulty solenoid be replaced then? I feel a little suspect here. I had to look through all the information here very careful, to determine it there were two solenoids in a 4 cylinder engine as it is.
