Discuss the causes and fixes for P1759 Nissan OBDII Code

  • I’m going to try and condense a very long and irritating story, so bear with me. And if I leave anything out, please don’t hesitate to ask about it. Okay, I have a 2004 350z that I just got a little over a year ago. After giving it some of the TLC it needed and fixing other things on it, I needed the radiator replaced ASAP and wound up going to someone different then who I normally use to fix my car (1. Bad idea. 2. He did it at my house.) Well, He drained out all of the transmission fluid without telling me and left wires unplugged. After getting everything plugged back in and putting Tran fluid in, the car is jerky when it shifts and it’s just not driving good. So I took it to autozone to see what codes popped up, and I got p1759 and p1769. I just need to know what I need to get to fix those 2 problems. Or can it be as simple as there’s not enough/too much transmission fluid? Because I didn’t have these codes before the whole ordeal. Also, I started it up the other day to try and work on a few things, and out of no where I’m getting oil leaking.

  • Did he top of the transmission fluid after replacing the radiator? if he didn't, then that is the most likely cause of the problem. Just try not to drive your Z that much with the low fluid.

  • I have this p1759 code on my nissan fuga all the gears are working nicely except gear five, the car just raves instead of engaging five

  • did you fix it, i have the same two codes
