No, part have been change. The car was wreck and i fix it, but it has AT check light on dash is on as soon as you put the ignition on or start, the codes it has is P1754, P1774. When I the car takes of it feel like it is on 3rd gear it take off really slow and it seen it does not change gears.

I have a 06 infiniti M35x. It was showing a P1754 and AWD light was on along with service engine soon. I have got valve body and awd computer module replaced. Still both the lights are on. Same p1754 code showed up again and awd light is still on. Now lets jump into what started happening to the car. I came to a stop on red light and soon as it turned green my car stopped moving. RPM would go up but car wouldn't move. Then it started working fine. I felt like something was being dragged several times. Please if anyone has any input on it plz reply me here. Thanks

Did you use a new Valve Body? most of the times a new valve body takes care of the problem, there is even a factory service bulletin that recommends replacing the valve body. Unfortunately, if the valve body wont fix the problem, the only solution is to replace the transmission assembly. Poor power supply from the fuse to the Transmission Control Module (TCM) could also trigger the code, but then more code will be present and the vehicle won't move at all.

Thank you for your response. Ok so my mechanic bought the valve body for me. He said it was used. I took the car back to him because both the lights were on and I paid him one grand for that. First he kept saying that I have to rebuild the trans or the code will stay on. The argument went on for another 15 mins. I told him that at least the AWD light should have gone off. To which he said, without the trans rebuild it won't go off. I had lost trust in him, I told him that I wanted to pick up my car and he said come tomorrow. Next day I went there and he said your AWD light is off and your code is gone too. He was angry at me I could tell. I asked him if the problem has been solved to which he said your code can come back. I have driven the car for about 150 miles already but the code hasn't come back and drive and shifting is smooth as ever. From your experience, could you please tell me what are the odds that my trans will start acting up again because he said that bad valve body must've caused metal break downs inside the trans. I just want to know that how likely is it that my trans is back to it's full health. Thanks again for your reply! It was really helpful. and sorry for the long message, it's just driving me crazy.

It is very difficult to say what is the condition of the transmission without taking the transmission apart, that is why there is always a risk of just replacing the valve body instead of rebuilding the transmission. At our shop we have done many valve body, some used and some new, and fortunately we haven't seen any come backs yet, based on that, you have a good chance that the valve body will fix your problem.
