  • OK, so I am driving down the road and the service light pops on. Stop at Auto Zone, get the code read, and I am getting P1701 and P0131 O2 sensor repeats 3 times. Transmission seems fine. AAMCO states this is not something to worry about, and could not find an answer on the phone. Said it could take them 6 hours to diagnose. Only owner of the car, currently at 94,500. Never had an issue with the transmission. I guess what is confusing is this code coupled with the O2 sensor repeating 3 times. I have not replace or removed the battery recently, nor have there been any apparent power surges. Any ideas or suggestions?

    BTW, AAMCO said if its the TCM its a $700-800 fix.

  • I have a Nissan Xtrail T31 2010, code is shown p1701, when shifting gears when cold or hot it bangs hard, then try to gradually accelerate the car it jerks, only when it starts to take off slowly, but when on the road and on normal driving the gears shift fine. When I put to D on the trans it does that jerk thing when accelerating but when i put it to L it doesn't occur. When come to a Stop it shakes like the engine has a misfire feel and then shuts off.
