The Transmission Control Module (TCM) converts the AC into a vehicle speed signal, which is used to determine shift timing and Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) scheduling. The TCM also provides a Replicated Transmission Output Speed Signal (RTOSS) to the Engine Control Module (ECM)
