Kicked code p1414 after getting gas and pulling out of station. Engine started running rough and lifter rattle from right bank definite miss detected at tail pipe. Suspected got a slug of water in gas. Code reader set no other codes at this time. Drained gas tank and refilled with fresh gas from stored at home. Problem miss was still there, lifter rattle gone. Drove it and further another code was kicked P304 Cylinder #4. Pulled plugs on cylinder #4. One plug had tang smashed (shorted), the other had insulator, electrode and tang completely missing. I can only assume that pieces were holding valve(s) open and had dislodge pushing pieces out exhaust when lifter rattle quit. Magnet inserted in both plug holes retrieved no metal debris as nothing blew out also when momentarily starting engine with plugs removed. Compression was also evident in cylinder. Hopefully debris have blown out into exhaust without damage to cylinder, valves, piston or head. Will update when I change plugs and verify engine runs normally. I can only hope so!

I have a 2012 Ram 1500 with the 5.7 hemi.
The issue started out of nowhere, it started missing and running like crap, if I hammered on it the motor light flashes and goes off when I let off.
I scanned it and it said P1414 Cylinder 4 Reactivation Control Performance and P0304 Cylinder 4 misfire.
I changed the plugs and coils for cylinder 4 and the injector, they all seemed to help briefly then back to running like crap. The injector I put in ended up being the wrong one from O'Rielly's even though guaranteed it to be the correct part. That being said it ran better than it has in a long time with the new injector for a about 5-10 miles then back to shitty.
It always idled fine but then had a bad idle.
I put the old injector back in it and it runs somewhat ok but still has a misfie just hasnt popped a code yet.
Throughout this whole process when I would relieve pressure out of the fuel rail by pulling the fuel pump fuse and running the truck until it died. When I pull the injectors there is almost a steady flow of fuel coming out.
Also, I noticed gas in the PCV case, so my assumption is it is getting too much fuel somehow. Any idea where to start?-

Thank you. How do I test the MDS solenoid? I looked up some stuff and it said to use the +/- put the transmission into 6th and that will bypass it. But it still had its issues. It seems that the issue gets worse when the truck is warm. The injectors themselves weren't leaking jus excessive fuel in the rails even after relieving the pressure.
