Code P1271 GMC Description

The P1271 diagnostic trouble code for GMC vehicles specifically refers to the Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor 1-2 Correlation. This code indicates that there is a discrepancy or correlation issue between the signals sent by the two accelerator pedal position sensors in the vehicle. In modern vehicles, there are typically two accelerator pedal position sensors for redundancy and safety purposes. These sensors are responsible for sending signals to the engine control module (ECM) to determine the appropriate throttle position based on the driver's input.
