Discuss the causes and fixes for P1175 Cadillac OBDII Code

  • 2008 escalade, poor gas mileage for a long time. New plugs & wires, new maf sensor, "lots" of injector cleaner additives over 2 year period. Replaced all 4 O2 sensors. Occasionally engine light comes on, twice had error code checked and both times the fault codes are, P1174 & P1175 which are fuel injector banks. Guess I need new injectors. Any way to determine which injector(s) are bad or do you simply replace them all. Auto has 125,000 miles

  • You can check the resistance of each fuel injector should be 11-14 ohms, but sometimes the resistance of the injectors is good and the problem is that the injectors get clogged. Have you tried getting the fuel injectors cleaned by a shop? I mean using the fuel injector cleaner recommended by GM

  • Thank you for your response. I was not aware of the fuel injector cleaner. What level of auto shop might have this, ie. Would most chain shops carry this, Service Street etc ?

  • The one GM recommends to use only the dealer, but most independent and chain shops have similar tools.
