  • This car has been parked for some time. It had old gasoline in it because after driving it for a day, I noticed when I started my car the next day a lot of white thick smoke was coming from the exhaust. After the car warmed up it stopped smoking and hasn't done it since. A couple of days later I noticed the car was hesitating to start. I would have to try it a few times before it would actually stay running. (Seems like its not getting gas or something) Because it was parked for so long I waited until I used up the half tank of gas in it, I refilled with mid-grade (87) and poured in a bottle of HEET that had fuel injector cleaner in it. I also had the oil changed and checked all the fluids as well. The car still hesitates to start. There were no warning lights on until a couple of days laters the service engine soon light appeared and after having the codes checked it said P1147 HO 2S Rich shift monitoring. The car is wasting more gas than it should be for a four cylinder. So this is where I am at right now not sure what to do next. Any Suggestions? Please and thank you.
