P1122 Nissan Code - Electric Throttle Control Performance Problem

Found the code p1122 and while trying to press on the gas pedal there was no comunication to the throttle which the car would go or the RPM will rise up to 2000. I replaced the throttle body control unit and the problem was fixed.

You probably need a new throttle body.

Hi. I have a 2004 Nissan Sentra 1.8 M/T. Service Engine Soon light came on and I rec'd a P1122 code. I cleaned the throttle body; however, that didn't seem to work because the light is back on, and now my car idles higher than usual, not consistently; but, enough to notice. Where should I go from here? Replace the throttle body? Try to clean it again? Something else that I'm not looking into perhaps? Please help!

Try performing the Idle Air Volume Learning procedure to reset the engine idle.

You may have to perform the procedure a few times. If the problem persist you may have to replaced the throttle body.

Ok my 02 altima is throwing this code p1122 and some.others also p1126 p0123 p0223 p0507. I replaced my crankshaft sensor and throttle body. Somebody! Anybody! Help me out. This has been kicking my butt for about 2 months. The problem is my rpm wont go past 2000 and while in gear it won't go up at all. And after a little while of running the car the engine will seem like it's overheating. And the car begins to *put put* and shake almost like an at or dirtbike when it's not getting gas and is about to cut off! Some one help me!

There are so many thing that can cause the code and some test needs to be perform to find the exact problem. You could start by clearing all the codes to check what code comes back first and try to fix that code first.

I had a vehicle with a similar codes and symptoms and the problem was the IPDM (fuse box unit in the engine compartment) ( https://www.autocodes.com/glo... ). The IPDM is what powers the Throttle Body.

Please I also have this trouble code p1122 and p0135, with my Nissan Tiida 2008
Sometimes when I am driving I suddenly lose throttle power, and the car start crawling, even with the throttle pressed down engine just idles with no response and power to the engine , and sometimes when I turn engine off and on, its ok again for awhile and start all over again.
Now, I cant even start the engine, as engine tries to start so erratically.
Please help!! Any advise or recommendations?

Codes are not related. The P0135 code shouldn't cause any drivability problems. More than likely the problem of the engine performance issues is the throttle body. You may have to replace the throttle body, but you could start by cleaning first.

What year is your Nissan? The throttle motor is part of the Throttle Body, which is what the code is for. More than likely you have to replace the throttle body to fix the problem.

Hi. I have a 2004 maxima. Wen I accelerate it like skips a beat rpms go up and down and I lose power. I can only drive up to 3000 rpm after that the light ome on and I lose power. I have to let gas go and let it catch.

If you get the P1122 code, combine with the symptoms you mention, then the problem it's more than likely the throttle body.

2005 Sentra specv. Idle fluctuation 1500-2000 rpm. Installed new throttle body and problem persists after relearn using scan tool. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately you have to have the dealer, or any one with a Nissan Consult reset the idle for you. You could also try disconnecting the car battery for over 1 hours and try turning the ignition switch ON and OFF several times.

Another way you may be able to do it, is by disconnecting one ignition coil and performing the idle relearn procedure, the reconnect the coil and do the idle relearn again.

hi I have the code p1122 and I already check for any bad wiring and the fuses as well I already installed a new throttle body and I did the relearn so many times and the problem is still there I put the car in drive and I press the gas with the ignition on and I can hear the throttle vale open and closing so im really stressing I need my car for work please please HELP ME OUT THANK U

What model and year is your Nissan? The only other component that I have seen causing the same problem is the IPDM

I have a 2005 Nissan Almera. Symtoms occurring were engine showing codes P1122 & P1126. Engine reving only to 2000 rpm. After changing accelerator pedal sensor, cleaning Ethrottle body & changing Ethrottle body, codes were still showing. Finally, we changed the throttle body motor relay, & problem was rectified.

Where is the location of that throttle body motor relay i been looking everywhere i only have one blue relay and a gray one and like 4 or 5 Brown ones i only have code 1122 maxima 02 n i already bought a new gas pedal and throttle body

2002 Nissan Maxima the "Throttle Control Motor Relay" is on the fuse box in front of the battery. (Yellow color of the relay is just for illustration, actual color is different)

Color of the relay is not important, look at the location of the relay. I just wanted to make sure you were not looking for a yellow color relay.

I bought the car used from a guy and it doesn't have the cover where it says the location of it that's y its been so hard to figure it out witch one it is ..because i looked and one picture says its under the dash by the driver side

This is my relay box. The relay for the throttle body motor is the bright BLUE one on the right at the top. I changed this relay and the problem disappeared

What year is your XTrail? I haven't had that problem with the XTrail, but I had a couple of car with the same problem and end up to be the IPDM (fuse box)

I have a 03 nissan sentra spec v i bought the car a month ago and have replaced the tb yesterday and the car still has a rpm problem it revs from 1500 to 2000 sometimes when the motor is cold it revs to 3 i had a obd connected and it says tps has a high voltege problem now i am tracing the wire the best i can to see if anything is touching frayed or something but my car also has a code for crank postion senser and something to do with my evap i even had the guy do the idle relarn on it and it still didnt do nothing at all not really trying to take it to a nissan dealership and spending 500 for them to tell me that it was a simple fix ya know i rather do it at home do you have any advice or anything that it could be? My opinion is that the idle learning procedure was not properly done.

You won't damage the engine if keep running at high speed, but the MPG will definitely go down.

The P1122 code means that you have a problem with the throttle body. You could start by cleaning the throttle body (if you do that make sure you disconnect the car battery). If the problem persist after you clean the throttle body, then you may have to replace the throttle body to fix the problem.

Nissan qashqai.changed spark plugs and then p1122 appeared.cleared the throttle..and the problem became bigger.(sorry for the pure english.i am fom greece)

My Nissan March suddenly stopped and when I tried to start the engine it only moved in idling and it lost the revs. The fault code showing was p1122. I tried to replace the throttal body but nothing is happening. When press the accelerator just a very small sound of the revolution is heard

It's possible. The transmission needs the throttle body input to shit gears.
