  • My 2007 chrysler 300, 3.5L v-6,5-speed auto trans. Back in early May, car would not shift out of park. Had to replace shift interlock latch, or commonly known as "the pink thing" under the gear shift assembly. Because I was out of state, and the "so called" mechanic didn't have a clue what was wrong, he forced the gear shift and busted the housing. After taking the whole assembly out to fix the latch, I superglued the broken pieces back in place (2). I failed the IL emissions test with code P0850 Park/Neutral position (PNP) switch circuit. I did some research online, and found a part (the switch) for approx $35.00. But when I phoned Chrysler, they told me that they don't sell the switch alone, and for about $370.00 the plate that the switch plugs into and the switch could be mine. I am having a difficult time, figuring that this whole problem had started when the towtruck driver had to drag my car back in May. Is there anyone that can help?
