po776 Anyone know if revving my CVT in low gear for 45-60 minutes would most likely damage the CVT Belt or other parts? Due to the intermittent failure of the valve body this happened to me on the highway at night. My car suddenly lost power and I could not go faster than 40 mph then 30, 20 and 0. After 8 months of symptoms and back and forth with Nissan and the dealer, i was told i was going to get a new transmission and if i recall properly, about 14k miles. After I dropped of the car the dealer quoted some service bulletin and I was told they had only replaced the valve body. My car is 2016 Altima SR with about 50k miles.

I have a 2014 Altima with 132,000 miles that I bought a year ago. I love the car, but sometimes, only when I'm in stop and go traffic, I get a slow and sluggish start. Hi I have an Altima 2013 model when I start the car my RPM keep moving up and down (1-2) and when I change the gear to D the car move and jerk then I Off the engine and on again now push full accelerator pedal the car is moving slow and suddenly pick up, once I reach 80kph the car is going normally if I slow down in the signal I am facing same problem some time there is burning smell and car getting heat.
