Discuss the causes and fixes for P0751 Ford OBDII Code
-
came into the shop with a CEL P0751. Driver stated it also had a wrench light on. He parked the vehicle and shut it off before I could hook the scanner to it and when I started it back up, there were not lights lit up. but there was a pending P0751 code. It was due for a transmission service and the supervisor just told me to do the fluid and filter and clear the code and test drive it.
I made about 1/10th of a mile when the wrench light illuminated and I experience that it was a little hesitant in its upshift.
I'm now going through and trying to check connections.
Any further suggestions? -
There is a factory service bulletin for that model year. The bulletin suggest replacing the "Cost Clutch Cylinder" and "Cost One-Way Clutch"
