Have a 97 Jeep grand Cherokee 4.0 6 cyl. with code " PO0748 A-electrical", as per the dealer's code reader. Interpreted to mean there is a short in the circuitry and not a mechanical problem in the tranny. Traced the 3 wire cable from Governor Pressure Solenoid circuit sensor to the PCM harness. The middle wire tested continuity to ground. The other 2 wires are probably the B+ and the sensor output to the PCM. My alternator also dropped to 9-10 volts and both Field wires show grounding. Any ideas or similar problems. -
