I have a 2010 ford escape 6 cylinder 2 wheel drive. for the last month I have had a problem with cranking it. first it started with having to turn the key several times before it would crank up. now whatever was happening has completely mess up. I now have to connect two bolts in the solenoid with a screwdriver and have the key in the on position just to start it EVERY TIME! I initially thought it was my started so I bought a new one, had it replaced, same problem, so I checked the uses that affected the started, they are all good. so now I'm at a stat of confusion.

I have a 2007 chevy aveo 4 door sedan, with a 1.6L 4 cyl. engine. I am getting the code: P0458 on my code reader. The description is as follows: Evaporative Emission System Purge Control Valve Circuit Low. So far I have replaced the gas cap and the Canister Vent Solenoid, and neither part fixed the problem. I'm thinking that because the code says, circuit low, it must be an electrical problem. Someone please help me.

I have a 2007 Aveo and I have no ignition power going to the purge solenoid where does it come from and should there be power there with the key on

You should have power at terminal "B" with the ignition ON. The PCM controls the valve by grounding the terminal "A".
FYI, at least 90% of the times the problem is the Purge Solenoid Valve
