I have a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee, code p0455 keeps popping up, we had it hooked to the smog machine and detected it was leaking around the seal on the sending unit, we changed the whole thing, code still came on, changed filler neck that had a hole in it, still comes on, tried 2 different caps, this 2nd one came directly from Jeep dealer still coming on, what else could we try? thinking possibl sensors now

try to check the vacuum lines for fuel and return which run along the driverside and go up into the engine bay (near the exhaust manifold). There are a few hose joints there which are prone to cracking. Make sure you feel./ check the entire joint: mine cracked on the back and I didn't see it the first time I inspected it.
Also, it is worth checking the seal on the purge solenoid. If the code triggers while running after already having run previously (see Trace 1 of the Chrysler IM setting procedures) then it's probably a live leak, not necessarily the gas cap. The gas cap warning is predominantly triggered after the vehicle has sat for a while.
