Having a difficult time getting rid of the code P0446 on my 2001 Chevy Silverado to pass smog. The Evap System kit was installed (replaced) (I think that is what it is called) I'm not doing the work, but the ones who are will be giving up today as a result of this code. I will not pass smog if I can't figure this out. Can't afford new vehicle, and the one I have only has 74,000 miles on it. Still runs great! They are looking into replacing a part for the computer today to see if that fixes it, but if it doesn't.... do you have any suggestions I can pass on to them????? This is urgent. Thank you for responding. As it turns out the part they installed for the "computer" worked. I only wish they had tried that first. I ended up with a $700 bill for a $30 part and a bunch of condescension. Anyway...live and learn. I will be taking a lot of precautions next time smog comes around.

On mine, they replaced the canister kit (?). That's what my receipt says. Then they replaced a small box. And i had to drive the heck out of it. Sorry, i don't know the language.

Hello, I have a 2012 Chevy Cruze LT 1.4. This car jumps in idle and when I’m driving. The service lights flashes and a stabilitrak and traction pop on the screen. I replaced the valve cover, purge valve solenoid, spark plugs, coil pack, negative battery cable and about to replace the solenoid for the canister under the car.
