I had the code p0441 on the kia sorento 3.5l 2011. the car present problems only when I put gasoline, it doesn't want to start (ignite) and it has to be tried several times until it start normally, after that the car doesn't fail until I have to go back to gas station and add gasoline again. I had an engine light. Took my 2014 Kia Rio to the dealer. They said it was code p0441. Found an outstanding ECU upgrade to resolve p0441. Performed ECU upgrade. Engine light is off. Therefor, I surmise that there was no repair required, it was the software that was wrong. What surprises / irks me is that they charged me for the ECU upgrade! I am 20 days past the end of my 5 year warranty. I work in IT and don't charge for software upgrades, neither do I get charged for any of my phone or computer apps that come out with an upgrade! Has anyone else had this experience?
