My 2016 Honda Pilot has the emissions system problem light that comes on and goes back off for no known reason. Took it into Honda today and they say it has code PO 430 and that I need to replace the injectors ($1630) The vehicle has 74,000 miles. I don't see here anything about injector replacement being the first place to start? What would you do??

I'm not sure why they recommend the injectors, there is even a Factory service bulletin that recommends updating Powertrain Control Module (PCM) program to resolve the problem.
You should ask them about the bulletin or get a second opinion. If your Pilot already have the latest program, then the catalytic converter is the most likely cause of the problem. -
HAve a 17 ridgeline $41000 miles Spinning this code on off again too since Oct.. Did PCM update still came on. Car runs fine Now dealer say injectors .

so you did not have them change the Catalytic converter? Mine comes and goes at will and I have another Garage telling me it's that but Im trying to get the dealership to pay for it as it should be under warranty for me still.

Note - this may be an intermittent symptom. Shop says this is a bank two catalytic converter. I tried a chemical solution (Cataclean) for around $30 and it worked for less than 1,000 miles before the light came on again. My shop said to avoid Dorman and Magnaflow converters.

Looks like I may have to. I found a really good YouTube video with comparisons of a couple of brands, but haven't been able to find the one they recommended. Also shows the "how to", which is what convinced me not to try it myself. The cost of a new one from the dealer is prohibitive - I'm retired and living on Social Security. Every buck helps. But a roll of black tape to cover the engine warning light is cheap..... :-)
