My problem started with my 2005 pathfinder got overheated and the car shutdown itself. I fix the waterpump lines and in the dash the engine light was on i didnt had a scanner in that time soo we went to a technician, he said it was a Camsensor the one who is closer to the passager side he change it ok. The car was working fine then it got overheated again and shut down again by itself in lest than a week. I put my scanner on the car and it gives me this code P0345 Camsensor A circuit malfuction bank 2 and I dont know where to start the coolant evaporated but we fill it again there is no leaks and the camsensor was new it cost i dont know what to do now. My hipotesis is that the overheated damage the camsensor I dont know. I will continue doing tests to find out.

It's very possible that by overheating the engine it could have damage the sensor. With the engine overheating problem, if there are no leak, you next step is to perform a compression or leak down test to check the cylinder head gaskets. It's possible that overheating the engine the first time it may have damage the head gasket.
