P0344 Dodge Code - Camshaft Position Sensor Intermittent Bank 1 Sensor 1

was very helpful suspected battery and was right

I replaced both the battery and the cam position sensor. I also checked the wiring as best I could and found no problems. 4.98 volts to the middle wire and continuity back to the pcm. Check engine light still on (still get p0344) and still has the middle symptom above 2300 rpm. What else can I do?

I have an '05 ram 1500 4.7l v8 with the P0344 code. The engine was replaced 2 months ago, crankshaft sensor, camshaft sensor, battery, starter, radiator and the alternator tested out good. The check engine light came on about 10 mile after I filled the gas tank and then began to run rough. I am not sure where to go from here.

I suggest starting by checking the camshaft position sensor connector, if the connection is OK then it's possible that you have a bad sensor.

I'm having the same problem. Did you find out if it was a bad cam sensor?

I *finally* fixed mine by changing the magnet on the end of the camshaft - about $20 from Amazon Airtex 5S7062

I have a 2004 dodge dakota with a p0344 code. Change the cam sensor with no luck, could the PCM have gone bad

It's possible, but you should start by reprogramming the PCM. Are there any other symptoms?

got this code tuesday on my 08 charger when it stalled at the light.got it tested, battery was stock original chrysler batt rated at 635cca .the test said it was holding a charge but only 435cca he looked it up and the reccommended cca is 730 wow!i got the car in 2010!replaced the batt and wow what a difference,windows went up fast,car moved faster(always felt the car was sluggish) drove a bit and the code cleared

Now the code is back (-_-) whenever I turn the key fast it stutter turns over for 6 seconds then starts.I started using the remote start instead and it never does it been using it the past 3 days .did the key trick to see codes it showed up then when I started the car it's went off then I went to go on base I turned the key fast and it stutter started again and the light came back on 340 and 344

03 dodge stratus have the proper volts changed the camshaft sensor no obvious shorts in the wiring traced all the way back still miss fire about 2500 rpms

I have a 2003 dodge durango with the 4.7 motor. I rebuilt the motor and put it in only to come up with this code po344, I replaced the sencer, checked the starter and put in a new battery and yet the code will not stay out. I am at the end of my rope with this one so I guess I am abought to replace the toner ring on the camshaft. I have checked out the wiring so if this does not work any sugesstions

I have a 2006 dodge dakota with 3.7 just replaced complete r/s of moter due to detonation and now it runs fine but keeps throwing code p0344 I replaced cam sencer 2 times to be sure it will not go above 2300 rpms it is like a revlimiter need help can't figure it out its my daily driver

Have an '03 Dodge Durango it sat for a few months causing the battery to die. It was a new battery just before the truck sat so we jumped it yesterday so I could start driving it again. The P0344 code came on at this point. We did have a problem jumping the battery due to older jumper cables. Could that be why the code came on?

Yes, that could be the problem. I would just clear the code first.
