  • We have replaced the camshaft position sensor 4 times since February 2017 ~ put the latest one on yesterday 6/15/17 and it was Toyota part. Started fine first 5 times then the same thing ~ not starting have to keep trying, Finally started about 10 minutes later. Sometimes since we started the replacements it would seem to start easier if it had been off for three hours or longer. If you made a quick trip then it usually took a while to start. What could be cause this? Is it something else and not the camshaft position sensor?
