    Multimeter reads 12.4v and 13.8v with the engine on, so I figured it's not a battery issue.
    The code was 0340 so removed the front bank sensor, just below the breather pipe in a 2004 maxima. Squeeze the green clip toward the sensor and it pops out.

  • Today the engine stalled and threw up code 0340 again, with the new sensor. The clip is in good condition, just a little dirty. I know it's not the sensor so I will clean the connector tomorrow and see what happens.

  • Could you swap the sensor from the other side, just to check if the problem is the sensor or the connector? which sensor are you replacing the radiator side or the firewall side? Is it possible that you replaced the wrong side?

  • Changed the front back as per the diagram you posted. The cam sensor at the front of engine in bank 1, as per the code. I cleaned the connector but didn't want to tear it open to check continuity. Changed the rear bank sensor and no more code. I was expecting a code 0345 for the rear bank cam sensor but never got a 0345 yet the problem seems to be fixed.
