  • Unfortunately other than plugs and coils I have not seen anything else triggering the P0304 code. I checked a national database of repairs for the P0304 code and nothing either. Looks like the next step is to check the fuel injector.

  • My 2012 Dodge Journey was involved in a front end collision and had a slightly rough idle since. After it was repaired at the body shop and had to have coolant work done to it after that then tonight I got the P0304 #4 cylinder misfire code is there a possibility the sudden jarring and the engine shutting down at above 1500 RPM during collision have anything to do with the code

  • How long ago was the repair done? it possible that the collision may have disconnected the ignition coil or fuel injector, or damage a wire. You should start by inspecting the connector and if possible swapping the ignition coil and spark plug from the #4 cylinder to another cylinder and check if the code follows the coil.

  • I got the code on 07 dodge charger 5.7L. Replaced plugs and coil for cylinder 4 and still got the same code afterwards. Check fuel injectors next you say? Wire and connectors look really good.

  • Unfortunately, I never had that problem before, but according to a national database of repairs for the 2007 Charger with 5.7L engine, after the spark plugs and ignition coil, the fuel injector is the most probable cause of the problem.
