2004 Mazda 6 v4 -- P0302 Started out engine would die at a stop with AC on -- with AC off the car would not die. Progressed to engine would die at idle soon after starting unless you gave it some gas regardless if AC is on or off.
Freeze frame from P0302 showed rich short term fuel trim, which pointed to inadequate/no spark or fuel injector issues. Replaced spark plug and wires with no change (needed it anyway).
Hooked up test light to battery ground. Started car while at idle, pulled cylinder 2 wire at ignition coil with insulated spark plug pliers and put the test light to the ignition coil port for cylinder 2. Spark would not jump to test light unless I put the test light inside the coil well. Pulled cylinder 1 and it jumped about 1 inch away from the coil pack without having to get inside the well. This confirmed that the coil pack was bad and not producing enough spark to ignite fuel in cylinder 2. Replaced the coil pack and the code cleared and engine ran normal.
