2000 Miata Ls 5 speed. P0300 code after it gets warmed up. I start it in the morning and drive it it is fine, shut it off and restart it spits and sputters and the CEL light blinks. Car is very sluggish and won't idel, Could this be the coil pack?

Unfortunately there are many things that could cause that code. Ignition coils do not fail as you describe, the coils usually fails very inconsistently, no temperature or starting condition. If you have a consistent problem related to the the temperature, I suggest start by checking for intake leaks around the Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor or the MAF itself. It was the coil pack in mine. I disconnected each spark plug cable at at time, attaching each cable one by one to an extra spark plug i had one by one and found cylinder 1 & 2 had a weak spark. 3 had no spark. And 4 was the only coil working. Make sure to ground the spark plug prior to testing and do not touch the spark plug while your testing.

I have mazda Cx-7 2008 turbo and awd. how recently I experienced a misfire and all of sudden rev starts to go crazy. so I got coil # 3 replaced. but after that my car starts to hesitate a lot. power is there just with jerks not in continuous manner. So, I got its spark plugs checks, all good. Then remaining three coils been changed with the new ones same issue. Then Mass Air Flow is also going good. lastly my mechanic check the compressor psi's it came down to 200, 180, 175 (or 165) and 175 (or 165 for last one). Now before he further diagnose it he reckon it could be the faulty injectors but does not want to conduct the check as this could be more costly because of the labor and then the tests. So is there any way to fix the injectors if they are playing up by putting the hiOctane fuel and injector cleaners? -
Having both the P0300 and the P0090 on my '03 Mazda Protege5. Looking at the carfax I can tell this has been an issue before, the CKP was replaced, all new hoses, and this code persists.
Any ideas, or does anyone even use this site anymore?
