ive heard people suggest gapping the spark plugs at .035 or less instead of manufacturers suggestion of .045. The problem disappears for alot of people. Im going to my mechanic today to have him do this and see if it works.

2009 accent suddenly starting miss firing .random codes appear 301-304.Engine has no miss when shut off for 30 minutes or so. Remove code and drive for several kilo's engine seems to run normally and has ample power but code reappears and miss is noticeable @ idle.

Spark plugs are not going to make engine light come on they dont send messages to to ecu the coil injeter plugs will send messages to the ecu if its sprk plugs it will do it all the time but no engine light

I have a 2011 Hyundai Accent hatchback. I replaced all 4 ignition coils including the spark plugs (had the recommended gapping) and the issue went away. I didnt drive the car for 2 weeks and today I started it up and I get the "random misfire" but the vehicle dosent feel sluggish or anything.

I just added new ignition coils and new spark plugs. Saw a flashing “check engine” light on the display and checked the codes with a ANCEL AD310 received a multi coil misfire code and am stuck with what to do next. Will do. I did pull the coils and plugs today and #4 plug was gap @ 50 1-3 were set at factory 44 so I’ll try again tomorrow morning. Thanks for the reply
