  • Hello my name is Hector Silva, i have a 2013 mazda 3 hatchback...my car was running perfectly fine and i started it up one morning and it just stays on for like a second then turns off. I gave me codes p0101 and p0102... I checked intank and its good....sensor looks brand new...i bought maf spray cleaner and it still doesnt stay on? Should i buy a new sensor? Also i noticed my light flicker when letting off on the gas sometimes? Any help is appreciated because this was my daily driver so im currently out of a car and its killing me

  • Start by checking for intake leaks. All the hoses from the MAF to the engine. If all the hoses are OK, no craks or loose hoses, then the problem is more than likely the MAF.

  • I have a 2011 Mazda CX-7 SV (2.5L non turbo) and got the P0102 code. I went ahead and replaced the MAF sensor, and put dielectric grease on the connecting part of the wiring harness to ensure a good connection. Cleared the code, and it came back the next day. I then took out my K&N filter and cleaned/re-oiled it, checked all the other connecting points of the air intake, and cleared the code again. Later that same day it went back on.

    I'm at a bit of a loss here. Any ideas? Trying to avoid bringing it into a shop since I just moved and don't have a trusted mechanic yet.

    A few other issues to note just in case they could be related:
    • When the A/C motor kicks on, it seems to be revving the engine more than normal, to the point that if I'm at a stoplight and don't have my foot pushed hard enough on the brake, my car lunges forward up to a foot.
    • Most of my power door locks have stopped working. The only one that works consistently is the driver door, but even that one fails every once in a while. Conversely, the other doors will occasionally work - rarely and totally randomly.
    • The back driver-side power window no longer works.
    • The driver window has started making some clicking sounds sometimes when the window is going up or down, and seems to almost "stutter" when the sound happens. Also, when i close the window all the way, when it reaches the point of going up into the weather stripping, it starts making a loud clicking sound so long as I am holding the button. Almost as if the window motor is spinning and gears are grinding or messed up.

    Please any help or suggestions would be appreciated!
