2011 Silverado 3500 Spectre Cold air intake with Oiled filter (running near dry) AFE 4 inch exhaust W/DPF delete. DTC code P0101 cleared and cleaned stock MAF. Code came back after 400 miles. replaced MAF cleared code came back after 4-5 hundred miles. Cleaned filter and did not re-oil Code came back after 3-4 hundred miles. Note: New MAF came missing one (Top) of three elements. Cleaned an cleared the code came back again. Truck has never displayed any performance issues

Have you tried removing the cold air intake? I have seen many cold air intake setting the MAF code. Also make sure the Spectre air filter cover is properly installed, otherwise hot air can get from the engine and set the P0101 as well.

Everything is sealed pretty tight. How common is the cold air intake issue? I seems like it's just every now and then that the temps fall just outside the parameters because the truck runs like a beast with no performance issues at all. I have ordered a new high capacity MAF sensor due to the missing element on this one. I read where the Z71 have the high capacity air filter and the the sensor is different. not sure that's an issue but figured what the hell. I was hoping there was a way to widen the parameters in the ECM so it doesn't throw the code. Any way thanks for the response
