I had my oil changed in my 2012 Toyota Tundra and the business that performed the work neglected to replace the gaskets in the oil drainage cap. After unknowingly losing about 5 quarts of oil over time ..my low pressure light as well as my maintenance light came on. When I checked the oil level it was not even showing up on the oil stick. After putting almost 5 quarts of oil in the vehicle ..as it is running out I took it to a Toyota garage where they emptied the oil ..replaced the oil placed the gaskets and refilled the oil . The lights all went off and all codes were cleared. The very next day my check engine light came on. Back to the Toyota garage I went. They pulled the code P0014.. Camshaft position "B" timing over advanced..or system performance (bank1) . Could be bad OCV or internal engine problem. They have decided it isn't the OCV. They say they have to start an engine tear down...yikes ! Is there something more to check or another smaller issue that should or could be looked at first before they start ripping my engine down ? Any help would be appreciated.
