Secondly, does the code differentiate between a failure of the intake side OCV and the exhaust side OCV? 2011 Sorento EX, 3.5L. Took apart and fixed Saturday. Chain drive. Very difficult getting parts on short notice. Also found that Kia Service Manual shows different resistance specs for solenoids than listed in Service Bulletin; manual shows specs of 9.4 - 10.4 ohms for both solenoids for this vehicle. Thx for responding so quickly.

My 2011 KIa Rondo was just diagnosed with this problem after error code P0014 & P0011 came up at the shop. I had just purchased it in July with 79,000km or approx 48,000 miles. Major disappointment. Had put about 600 km since then, as was going to use it as my winter vehicle, but decided to still use my 2006 chrysler town & country for now & get info on my problem, so it's put away for the winter. Will take the battery out. Parts quoted are very expensive. It seems to be a problem with Kia. No service bulletin came up in Canada for this, just the Charcoal canister fix but it seems to coming up in later models also....Thanks for the current info on your site.

I test drove a 2011 2.5 L cylinder engine Kia Sportage (149,000k miles) with both P0011 and P0014 error codes (intake and exhaust). I had my mechanic check the oil and he said it was fine. There are no bad sounds, and the car drives fine. But I’m not sure what it would take to fix these codes. The air filter does need to be changed, I don’t know if that matters.

I recently had my check engine light come on in my 2014 Kia Forte ex. I had around 700 miles left until my next oil change but went ahead and got it changed anyway. Afterwards the check engine light went away. Now a month later and it is back on with the low oil light flickering on and off occasionally. I have about 2200 miles left until my next oil change but when I went to check the oil level it was completely dry. I was told I need to replace my whole engine. Would anyone have any suggestions as to what it may be? Its not leaking oil but I think the engine may be burning the oil. Both times I have got it looked at it has ran the same code of p0014
