  • Could this fault be caused by either a maximum difference in tread wear of rear tires from fronts, or, from there being air in the line(s)? Several years ago I did major brake system work including every part except front rotors, one front caliper, master cylinder (replaced booster), ABS module, and most brake lines. Unfortunately, I found out that bleeding the system on a Jaquar X-Type requires a computerized bleeding machine, of which h I don't have, nor do I have the fortune it takes to have it done at shop. So I just drove it carefully, babying the pedal and manipulating the brakes whenever the ABS tried to activate due to low fluid pressure. A yeah, after I garaged the car over the winter I did some systems flushing and test drive it and noticed the ABS and engine lights were on, both due to the ABS issue. I reset them a couple times and now it seems ok, but the pedal manipulation is again necessary to reduce ABS activation, and now I want if gone. Any ideas besides a budget breaking computerized shop bleed?
