They wanted to replaced steering gear assembly due to a failed power steering control module but gear assembly(84494618) is on back-order until who knows when. Wouldn't reprogramming or replacing the power steering control module fix this?

    steering get jammed then became alright on its own. Signal gain came and DTC was C056D. Service center is telling to replace entire steering assembly
