Our Honda Civic Hybrid 2006 (1.3L) has no dashboard error light nor noticeable malfunction. The only problem we started to notice was the IMA coling fan (behind the back-seat) started to run unusually frequently and very loudly. This started to happen while driving and as soon as we slowed down, the fan stopped. Some days after this started, the fan started to run very shortly after we started the car, even when the engine was still cold. WE had a Thinkdiag dongle, so we decided to run a fault-scan, which returned B2993 Error Code., which is described as "short circuit in the Thermal Protection Control of the Aircon control". As far as we know the IMA fan and/or the IMA has nothing to do with the Aircon Control. Are we wrong here, or is something missing from the description of the above error code.
PS: We also checked the Thermal Protection Control cable on the Aircon compressor, where everything seemed firmly plugged in and no sign of any damage or irregularity. -
