Is it "P2799" or "B2799", As far as I know "P2799" does not exist for your model. The "B2799" code is for the a bad ignition key.

Thanks, I did that and made sure it was 4 & 13 for approx 31 mins. The problem now is the the ECU no longer communicates with the tool. We tried 2 different diagnostic tool but no communication with the ECU. Am I doing something wrong or blow a fuse? It's a toyota scion 2012. Someone said I have to replace the ECU but i don't think that's the case. Thanks for your much need advice.

Hi All, I have an issues with my Toyota Scion IQ. The car occasionally cuts out while driving but starts back up normally when I press the start button. Now, the car cut-out and has refused to start. No sound or turn-over from the starter motor when I try to start it. Also, when I switch off the ignition, all the lights in the dashboard (ABS, Brakes etc) still remain on for about 10 seconds before going off.
When this happened last week, I disconnected the battery for a day and the car started. I left the car for 2 days without driving it, it started but the problem came back after a few hours. (The battery is 3 months old. Could using a wrong battery cause this?) -
