  • Well every thing is fine as far as I can see or tell about my latches and windows . I turned on my rear wiper a while back and it worked but now t don’t so if that would cause this code wala there’s the culprit! But I don’t know if it would or not so maybe some one could shed some light there . I’m new to this vehicle 2004 4 runner SR5 4wd v6 . The last vehicle my dad bought before he passed so I kept it lited it detail painting the frame along with iner rust proffing tires wheels drilled and slotted rotors ball joints cv axles light bar , that’s all exterior took all interior shampooed seat covers off the seat frames that got rust removed and any crumbling foam replaced sound deadner brand new carpet better quality than original extra plush a bunch of shades darker than the real light grey . This is almost embody now matches the top of the doors and dash ! Then alpine cda 9833 head unit made in 2004 and new pioneer subs with a American bass spl 1000 watt amp made in 2004 still got to put component speakers in doors bunch of work and more diagnostic codes than you would ever believe it’s a thing of loving it and yeah sentimental value no price tag there but more to come making brackets for two extra alternators electric fan set up so I can remove the clutch fan and shroud for alternator room cause 2 12 inch subs ain’t gonna cut it more like 4 12s&3-15s all the box I can fit behind the rear seats but I got to get rid of these computer codes as I go or I won’t know what I did that may caused them or if they were my fault at all !   • The B2221 means that the Rear Left Power Window Motor is not working or at some point did not work as instructed by the control unit. If the Rear Left Window is working now, then there is nothing you can do, just clear the code with a scanner or by disconnecting the car battery for about 30 min. If the problem persists, but the window is working, then there is a problem with the Rear Left Window motor.

  • Well I’ve tried to reset it and clear the code it don’t work . The code is still there after clearing it with a xtool D7. I can use the xtool to roll the rear window up and down also the lock . Then I can use the dash control button to move it up and down even the key at the back deck lid will roll it up and down . Now the only thing that don’t work is the rear wiper . I did order a new rear window weatherstrip seal for the outside bottom it’s falling apart on mine and it’s dry rotted. Being all that said I have had this rear deck lid all apart as far as the iner panels not the glass out or glass rubber but latch ecu I sound deadened it outside sheet metal inside the door the x braceing toward the inside and also all the rolled metal edges sides up Tom the glass an across the bottom but not blocking any of the holes that let water out I never seen any major rust but lightly here and there I cleaned what I could but didnt paint the vehicle it self has receved 3-5 inch lift like 3.5 in the rear and 5-5.25 on the front had all kinda issues witch vsc off, vcs trac, abs, brake light, check engine, and speed omiter quit working also a steering angle sensor and the zero point calibration of the yaw sensor. Now planes have the yaw thing going on with being off the ground and tail wind effect how in the heck do they put a yaw sensor on a vehicle? Sometimes when I read these differant codes and what and how it’s worded ! I’m like are they for real a auto does not need all these things its to much when one thing is messing with every thing else then it’s to much and designating a ecu just for the rear deck lid I’d would say that’s a little bit much there’s way to manny things it’s trying to keep up with and a lot of this stuff doesn’t even matter I found out just because of the gas cap a lill lose or dry rotted rubber gasket not sealing just right causes vsc trac and vcs off lights to come on an if not checked out and addressed then that after so long cause the abs light on then the brake and check engine and I go look under the hood well it’s still there. Yeah well that last lill bit is joking ! I’m like it’s just to much I think to manny things being informative about things that don’t really need to be. I can remember we would fix a car and say we’ll it had maybe a lill somthing else they would just say R&R it the saying is run it and watch it now this is way out there run it each it monitor it try to stop it then let everything that don’t have or could somthing to do with or not at all to do with it know that’s so things happened with it creating a nightmare of bullshit for one to have to try and figure out who didn’t get a littl bit of power run through it for a week or so and it’s tore up from about throwing some crazy ass code to get everything that is working to think that it’s time to just say I need some attention also it’s like my sensors are a bunch of snot nosed teenagers that are drama qweens from hell because there to manny of them trying to tell about what might be going on . So here this thing is giveing to much info and when areal emergency happens there’s not enuff info being given ! Maybe we need to take a lesson from it and give it a chill pill to comasate for to much over montering for over calibration of the whole situation !
