Discuss the causes and fixes for B1399 Ford OBDII Code

  • My car was running great. But went to start it in the afternoon and it wouldn't turn over and said the keyless fob wasn't detected. Even after using it (instead of my finger) to push the power button. After about 30 minutes the car was dead. I could even lock the doors dead. Had it towed and they replaced the battery. I just picked it up and it's running great but I used my FixIt detector and it says there is this B1399 code alert. There aren't (and never was) an engine light on to give my any forewarning.

  • Some codes will trigger the engine light when the problem is consistent, but if problem only happen once, then the system will set the code but will not turn the engine light on. In your case the problem only happened once when the battery was low.
