B10E8 Possible Causes
- Faulty Blower Motor Power Module
- Blower Motor Power Module harness is open or shorted
- Blower Motor Power Module circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty A/C Heater Control
First diagnose B10E8 code
Check the "Possible Causes" listed above. Visually inspect the related wiring harness and connectors. Check for damaged components and look for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded terminals.

Cost of diagnosing the B10E8 code
Labor: 1.0The cost of diagnosing the B10E8 code is 1.0 hour of labor. The auto repair labor rates vary widely across the country, and even within the same city. Most auto repairs shops charge between $75 and $150 per hour.
B10E8 Possible Symptoms
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
B10E8 MeaningA Blower Motor Power Module allows the microprocessor-based A/C Heater Control to calculate and provide infinitely variable blower motor speeds based upon either manual blower switch input or the ATC programming. The ATC blower motor control system uses a Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) circuit strategy. PWM voltage is applied to a comparator circuit which compares the PWM signal voltage to the blower motor feedback voltage. The resulting output drives the power module circuitry, which provides a linear output voltage to change or maintain the desired blower speed. If the A/C Heater Control detects a short to ground on the Blower Motor Control circuit. If a valid voltage is detected the DTC will change from active to stored and stay in the controllers memory for 100 consecutive ignition cycles.
